MSceBSCM students participated the “SmartCity: How Big Data Reinvent Hong Kong Future” Conference on 23rd January 2019.
This one-day knowledge transfer conference is specially designed and organized by Lingnan University in collaboration with the Smart City Consortium (SCC) to elicit maximum involvement in a stimulating, constructive atmosphere. It aims at expertise and knowledge sharing to further delve into the valued big data as the critical driver for the SmartCity development in the modern, innovative world and to explore technologies which could practically be applied in solving our day-to-day city challenges.
An innovative line-up of industry experts in this event comes from the field of Hong Kong utilities and big IT infrastructure companies; like MTR Corporation Limited, Hospital Authority, HK Electric, Hong Kong Observatory and Airport Authority Hong Kong. Moreover, big data companies in the afternoon session, like Amazon Web Services, Alibaba Cloud, Appier Inc. and Esri China (Hong Kong) Limited, had been invited as the honour-speakers to share their expert knowledge and experience on how to use big data analytics to support the development of Hong Kong as SmartCity.
