eID Seminar-“eID: Key to Smart City Blueprint Success”

The “eID: Key to Smart City Blueprint Success”  seminar at Hong Kong International ICT Expo 2018 was held on 13 April 2018. Our students are invited to join the seminar.

The Smart City Blueprint for Hong Kong was published in 2017, by The Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (“OGCIO”) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (“the Government”).  Under Smart City Infrastructure, a key area is to adopt eID common login by 2020 and enhance e-services user experience with the help of artificial intelligence, chatbot and big data analytics.  It plans to develop an eID platform to provide an eID for all Hong Kong residents allowing them to use a single digital identity and authentication to conduct government and commercial transactions online.
